📝 Claims Process

  1. 1Report the accident to the nearest police station within 24 hours and obtain an Abstract/Police Report (OB number)
  2. 2Notify Lawren Insurance immediately by calling +254 700 303 906 or emailing martha.munyeki@lawreninsurance.co.ke
  3. 3Do NOT move the vehicle or carry out repairs until an assessor has inspected it
  4. 4Fill in the Motor Vehicle Claim Form (download below)
  5. 5Submit the form along with all required documents
  6. 6An assessor will be assigned to inspect and value the damage
  7. 7Once approved, repairs will be authorized at an approved garage or settlement issued

📎 Required Documents

  • ☑️ Completed claim form
  • ☑️ Copy of driving licence (driver at time of accident)
  • ☑️ Copy of vehicle logbook
  • ☑️ Police abstract / OB number
  • ☑️ Photographs of damage
  • ☑️ Repair estimates from two garages
  • ☑️ Copy of insurance policy / cover note

⏱️ Expected Timeline

Motor claims are typically assessed within 48 hours of notification. Repairs or settlements are processed within 14-30 working days after all documents are submitted.

💡 Tips for a Smooth Claim

  • Always report accidents to police within 24 hours — late reporting can invalidate your claim
  • Take photos of the damage, the scene, and any third-party vehicles immediately
  • Do not admit liability at the scene
  • Keep copies of all documents submitted
  • Follow up with your broker (that's us!) regularly for status updates
